Hi I'm Janice Shiu. I am going to be 11 in December and I am a fifth grader at Albany Cornell Elementary School. I've been studying guzheng for four and a half years including the one and a half year I have been studying with my current teacher Weishan Liu. My wonderful teacher helped me improve my music and understand that music can be played with the heart and feelings. Then, for the first time, I played in a group and they became my friends and their names are Nikki Zhang, Michelle Wong, and Angela Mak. When I have time, I like to watch television, play video games, knit, but mostly read. I am not athletic but I like swimming and going on long walks. I like traveling to far and near places once in a while but I do like staying home.
