Farewell

Dear all,

For over ten years, we, Grace Chen, Elissa Gee, Victoria Kuo, and Christine Yim, have shared our lives with you. When we first started to play Gu-Zheng, it was more a fun thing to do. However, as we grew, we learned life lessons that we can take with us for the rest of our lives. We learned the values of working together, listening to each other, discipline, and most important- to have fun. We are not just classmates- we are a family. Not only do we create music together, but we cook, celebrate special occasions, and laugh. Teacher taught us the meaning of  passion and dedication. Not only did we learn music for ourselves, but we learned to share it with the rest of the community. We tried to compose our own music; it was fun and interesting experience. We participated in the annual concerts for twelve years, and we played for numerous private and public functions. We hope we have touched at least one person through our music.  The joy and compassion she shares for her music and her family is something that we can apply to for the rest of lives- no matter what we do. As we move on towards the future and make our mark into the world, we know that there will always be a connection between all of us. Even though we are going different directions and following different paths we know we can always come back to each other.  Music is the universal language for love.

Thank you for letting us be part of your lives,
